Will recently purchased a drone camera for Big Kahuna. It has been launched many times already from aerial location shots for jobs to birds eye view production shots of workshop activity.
Welcome 2014!
A big BKI welcome to the New Year! We’re excited to be back at work on some brilliant projects, starting 2014 with a bang.
Some of our work took on a new life over the course of the last year, with the over-sized Jim Beam cans (Jim Beam Bourbon for The Works) moving from their cooler at Bondi Icebergs out to bottle shops all around the country – perhaps you’ve already seen one at your local?
These iconic cans are truly living it up after being salvaged from the pool – send us a photo if you happen to find one. Cheers!

We took great care in relocating the magnificent marble Fountain we sculpted for artist Hany Armanious from the MCA Rooftop to Heidi Sculpture Garden. The sculpture is now on long term loan to the Heide Museum of Modern Art.
Our team created the fun-filled Lipton Sparkling Iced Tea ride, fitted out a traveling VW Kombi Cafe, created the amazing staging centrepiece which provided the backdrop for the SEVEN West Media launch and the glowing Vodaphone 4G brand device which lit up the Sydney Harbour foreshore.
Bring on your best briefs and give us a challenge, we look forward to imagineering the future with you!
Marble moving in the dead of night…
After 18 months pride of place as the inaugural piece on the Sculpture Terrace at Sydney’s newly renovated MCA, Hany Armarnious’ Fountain now has a new home in Melbourne.
For the first half of 2012, the Big Kahuna workshop was busy being covered in marble dust as we tirelessly set out to realise Hany’s giant inner ear sculpture for his commission by the Museum of Contemporary Art.
Fast forward 18 months and we cannot believe how time has flown! It was with great care that last week we packaged it up and moved the 3 Tonne beast to its new resting place at Heide Museum of Modern Art near Melbourne.
SEVEN West Media launch at Star City
Seven West Media held a launch for advertisers and media in Sydney last night unveiling plans for free-to-air’s first television channel delivered via the internet. The event was held at at Star City and Big Kahuna Imagineering was proud to have created the amazing staging centrepiece which provided the backdrop for the night and was also pictured in The Australian Newspaper today!
At the conclusion of the night, the stage prop was then packed up and shipped down to Melbourne for a repeat performance this evening.
