All aboard the Bacardi Express

"Five Bands. One train. Four cities. One hell of a ride"!

Bacardi and Channel V let the punters know about their cross promoting exercise at Big Day Out 2007 using two Big Kahuna designed marketing tools including the re-branded water tower.

The sturdy metal frame was given a second life after its debut as the Duracell water tower in 2005. We recovered it with the printed vinyl advertising Bacardi Express.

Unique design solutions are BKI's specialty... the water tower is another example of how we took a brief and creatively executed the product with logistics in mind. The tower was made to travel on the back of a truck, yet extended via 3 stage hydraulic ram to 6 metre in height x 3.5 metre diameter.

Vac formed water dispensing stations were in constant use throughout the Big Day Out as punters took advantage of the free water in great positioning.

Peer Group requested a second device for the day- a Variable Message Board that is available from Coates Hire, much like those you see when there's a traffic disruption. Using a lightweight aluminum frame and graphics on mesh, we were able to create an interactive, yet unobtrusive and easily erected signboard for the fantastic concept that is Bacardi Express.
